Hushbird · For institutions

Buy it once, for the whole department

Dictation and reading aloud, running entirely on the machine. Licensed perpetually, so it does not come back in next year's budget.

50 Macs
A school within a university, a state agency office, or a lending library across its regional centers.

A whole institution is priced by enrollment, so nobody has to count Macs. It covers every Mac at the institution and the personal Macs of enrolled students and employees, for as long as they are enrolled or employed.

A conversation
A university system across its campuses, a state agency across every district, or a lending program across all of its regional centers. Priced once, for the whole thing, because counting machines across sixty campuses is work nobody should have to do twice a year.

What it costs over three years

The saving per seat is small and is not the point. This is a purchase, not a subscription, so years two and three cost nothing.

A reading subscription at $168 a year$8,400$8,400$8,400$25,200

Those are the published consumer prices of two widely used tools, one for dictation and one for reading aloud. Hushbird does both.

Spanish

Hushbird's interface is available in English and Spanish, and follows whatever language the Mac is set to. There is no separate download and no separate license. Following along word by word, which is the part that matters for dyslexia, works in Spanish, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese as well as English. For a campus serving Spanish speaking students, that is the tool in their language rather than an English tool that reads to them.

Evaluating it first

There is a seven day trial with no card and no account, so anyone can try it today without asking us. For a lending library or a demonstration lab, where a trial would expire in a borrower's hands, we provide permanent licenses at no cost. Say what the machines are for and they will be issued.
